    Hi all,

    I have created a wiki page on the TDWG-GUID wiki to fulfill various
requests made in this thread. The page is at:

    In that page I tried to summarize the answers to the three most
important questions raised in this discussion thread:

1. Are GUIDs relevant to zoological names and ZooBank?
2. Why use LSIDs (and not another GUID technology) with zoological names?
3. How should we assign LSIDs to zoological names?

    Please feel free to either post your comments regarding this topic
to the list or add it directly to the wiki page above. Comments sent to
the list will be added to the wiki as we go along.
